The Northwest Railway Museum has negotiated a special 10-day pre-sale period from April 9 through 18, during which Snoqualmie Valley residents may purchase advance Day Out with Thomas tickets. Tickets go on sale to the public April 19. Pre-sale tickets are only available at the Snoqualmie Depot Ticket Office, and proof of residence, such as a driver’s license or utility bill, will be requested at the time of purchase.
“Because this is a sell-out event each year, we negotiated a special pre-sale period to allow local residents an opportunity to purchase tickets to one of the museum’s most popular family programs,” said Richard Anderson, executive director of the Northwest Railway Museum. “The Northwest Railway Museum is Washington’s only host of the Day Out with Thomas event this year, so we anticipate an early sell-out.”
Day Out with Thomas is a fun-filled family event based on The Railway Series of classic stories written by a father who loved trains and wanted a shared experience with his son. Visitors to Day Out with Thomas in Snoqualmie will enjoy a 25-minute train ride with Thomas the Tank Engine to the top of Snoqualmie Falls, live music, entertainment from James the Puppeteer, food, games, storytelling, model trains and special appearances by Sir Topham Hatt.
* The event is scheduled for July 9-11, and July 16-18 at the Snoqualmie Depot in historic downtown Snoqualmie. Advance purchase tickets are $14 at the Snoqualmie Depot Ticket Office, (425) 888-3030, or $16.50 via TicketWeb, www.ticketweb.com, beginning April 19.
