Valley Shuttle expands service between Duvall and North Bend

Starting March 4, the Valley Shuttle, operated by Snoqualmie Valley Transportation (SVT), will be arriving at stops more frequently because of King County Metro’s recent addition of a third shuttle.

The expanded fleet, driving Valley residents up and down SR 202 and SR 203 between North Bend and Duvall, will decrease the wait between shuttles from 90 minutes to 60 minutes.

“This is a huge upgrade for Valley riders,” said SVT Director Amy Biggs in a press release. “A lot of people count on the Valley Shuttle to get to work and school. Increasing our bus frequency will give them more options for planning their travel.”

The third bus serves as King County Metro’s response to residents advocating for additional services.

“It’s a combination of elected officials who have been champions in working with King County Metro to advocate for more changes that the riders wanted to see,” Biggs said. “We received increased funding from the Snoqualmie Tribe and King County Metro, which allowed us to increase our driver salaries and stabilize our workforce prior to this new route.”

SVT also plans to reintroduce the Duvall to Monroe route in the near future.
