Temperatures in the Upper Valley are set to jump close to the 90s today. During hot weather, locals who need to escape the heat can find cooling shelters locally, at no cost.

The public is welcome to cool down at the following places in Snoqualmie.

• Snoqualmie Valley YMCA, 35018 SE Ridge Street, Snoqualmie; 425-256-3115. Hours: Monday – Friday, 5 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Saturday – 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sunday – 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Check in at the front desk when you arrive.
