Eastside Fire and Rescue responded to the scene of a fallen tree that struck and killed a woman Monday morning (Jan. 9) in Fall City.
The incident took place around 8:30 a.m. Jan. 9 on Southeast 46th Street, after high winds knocked down trees and zapped power for thousands of people across the county.
There was no vehicle involved in the incident, as was initially reported, according to Eastside Fire and Rescue’s Twitter feed. CPR was performed on the victim, who died at the scene. The scene was turned over to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim’s name has not been released yet. This story will be updated when more information is available.
