A wrong-way driver on Interstate 90 early Sunday morning caused a head-on collision that totaled both vehicles. The driver, a 20 year-old North Bend woman, was not wearing a seatbelt and was critically injured in the crash.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the driver, in a 2002 black Nissan XTerra, was seen driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-90 near North Bend around 4:15 a.m., when she crashed head-on into a 1997 gold Lexus LX4 driving by a 43 year-old Snoqualmie man. The woman was not wearing a seatbelt. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
The other driver was wearing a seatbelt and his injuries were less severe. He was taken to Overlake Hospital.
Both vehicles were totaled.
