Yard and food waste drop-off goes weekly in Snoqualmie

The city of Snoqualmie’s Yard and Food Waste Drop Off Program will operate weekly each Saturday through Oct. 31. Hours have been expanded, and are now 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The program is located at the King Street parking lot in downtown Snoqualmie. Drop off is free and requires residency in the 98065 ZIP code. Participants should bring a water utility bill for verification.

Yard and food waste must be dropped off in reusable containers, paper bags, or cardboard boxes that can be recycled. Accepted materials include grass, leaves, weeds, plants, flowers, and small branches and limbs, food scraps and coffee grounds.

Information about what constitutes food waste can be found on the King County recycling pages at your.kingcounty.gov/solidwaste/garbage-recycling/recycle-food.asp.

Items not accepted include large branches, wood, stumps, sod, dirt, manure, pet waste, rocks, concrete, asphalt, construction debris, plastic bags, household garbage.
