Lost his fight with C-R cancer on August 20, 2018. He was born on October 7, 1964 in Seattle, WA. He graduated from Mt. Si High School in 1982, then served in the Navy for four years before entering Washington State University and graduating in 1992 with a degree in Land Management.

After graduation he went to work for the Bureau of Land Management in Elko, Nevada. After several years in Elko, he took a management job with B.L.M. in Burns, Oregon. He met his second wife, Lynda, and with her two sons made their home-ranch there until his passing.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Lynda, her two sons Trinton DeLang of J.B.L.M., USA, Trey DeLang of Burns, Oregon, a daughter, Skyler (Patrick) Dailey and granddaughter Sawyer of Othello, WA. His parents Mary and Dean Martin of Snoqualmie, WA, father, Harold Haakenson of Ellensburg, WA., sister Gail (Paul) Peduzzi, niece, Megan, and nephew Nick, of Bradenton, FL, brother Darrin (Christy) Martin and nephews Kyle and Luke of Snohomish WA.

He loved reading and being outdoors, even if it was to fix a fence for his animals. He loved to run, fish and hunt with his stepsons.

He leaves behind lots of friends and family. He is in the hands of the Lord, who will watch over him until we are all together again.
