GARY KENNETH GAMBLE

Gary Kenneth Gamble, 56, of Woodinville, WA, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2017 following a short illness. He was born in Seattle on March 12, 1960 to Eugene Edward and Adah Caroline (Kottke) Gamble. During the early years of his life the family lived in the greater Puget Sound Region, eventually settling in Woodinville in 1968 where Gary attended Cottage Lake Elementary, Leota Junior High and Bothell Senior High School.

After his schooling was completed in 1978 he worked in the construction industry for ten years until he began his career in municipal government with the City of Issaquah in 1988. During his 29 years in government his dedication and hard work earned him several promotions, including Construction Inspector in 1998. He served in this capacity building roads, bridges and plats for the Cities of Issaquah, Lynnwood and eventually Redmond and is fondly remembered by all that he worked with. Gary was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time in the mountains logging, hiking, hunting, camping and jeeping. He especially enjoyed spending time with family, friends and his grandchildren and was loved for his dedication to his family, great sense of humor, quick wit and his desire to always help someone in need, especially a fellow jeeper.

Gary is survived by fiance Susie (Oppedal), son Chris Gamble (Diana) of Waddell, AZ, son Cory Gamble of Woodinville, daughter Carly Gamble (Travis Finch) of Woodinville, grandchildren John Cote, Michael Cote, Jacob Gamble, Jackson Gamble and Taylor Finch, and brother Leroy Gamble (Patricia) of Woodinville, sister Fleeda Newcombe (Gary) of West Seattle, sister Adah (Cookie) Harn (Tommy) of Lacey, brother Mike Gamble (Juanita) of Antioch, CA, brother Pat (Ann) of Summerville, SC, sister Kathy Hunt of Lacey, brother Steve Gamble of Port Orchard, and sister Marsha Holbrook (Bob) of Port Orchard. He was preceded in death by his parents and by sister Maria Gamble and brothers Jerry Gamble and Darrell Gamble.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 13th in Coupeville, WA at United Methodist Church located at 608 N Main Street.
