AKA, Gary the Barber

Gary Larson, longtime barber of many a man and young lads in North Bend, passed away at home in Wenatchee, WA on Nov. 8 2021.

Gary was born Aug. 27 1935, in Fort Peck, MT to Charles B and Grace Luella (Flesjer) Larson.

The family settled in North Bend in the early 1940s, by way of Bellevue WA.

Gary graduated from Mt Si High school in 1954 and married Bonnie Matthews in 1957. They started their family in the old Si View neighborhood, welcoming daughter, Kelly in 1964 and son Jim in 1966.

Gary opened a barbershop on the corner of North Bend Way and Bendigo Blvd in the mid-1960s and cut hair for many, many local guys, old and young alike.

Gary and Bonnie moved their family to Wenatchee in 1976 where they opened and ran two different hamburger joints. After he and Bonnie retired, they traveled in their RV for several years before settling again in East Wenatchee.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Grace, brother Dale and sister Jackie. His wife Bonnie passed on Dec. 23 2020.

Gary is survived by his daughter Kelly Larson of East- sound, son Jim (Carol) Larson of Wenatchee, sister Charlene (Milt) Fitch of East Wenatchee, grandsons Sean and Callum Ritchie of California and many nieces and nephews.
