1936 – 2019

Georgia (Dodie) Oules Eliason peacefully passed away on February 6th at her home in Hoodsport. Dodie attended Preston Elementary School, Issaquah Junior High, and graduated from Issaquah High School class of 1954.

Dodie was an Air Force wife for thirty years with all that entails. She was a leader in the Officer’s Wives Club and taught kids through 4-H, while many learned to swim in Dodie’s pool. She loved to sew for herself and others – it was her creative outlet. In retirement, she and Vernet traveled extensively across the USA visiting ball parks and golfing. They visited other Air Force friends, former neighbors and family members on these adventures.

Dodie is survived by her husband Vernet Eliason, children Katherine Tom (Joe) of Satellite Beach, FL, John (Alison) of Issaquah, Lee of Hoodsport, and sister Buzz Johnsen of The Dalles, OR. Vern and Dodie celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in November. It was attended by the 3 children and 2 spouses, 5 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
