AKA “Mama Joan”, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the age of 88. She had been courageously fighting Parkinson’s disease for nearly 30 years. Widow of George N. Haffner after being married for over 56 years. They worked together for many years as owners of Sno-Valley Realty in Fall City, WA. Her faith never wavered, even on her last day when she received her final blessing. A mother of eight, she is survived by seven boys and ten grandchildren.

Joan was a strong yet a calm lady, she was quite strict raising eight children. She made sure the family went to church on a regular basis. Mom and Dad liked to travel and continued going to mass until their health started to fail. After that we would often visit them and say a rosary together at their home. They taught their children about the bible and the Catholic faith. They often donated to charities and would help their friends in need. They organized gatherings for family and friends, such as an annual Christmas sing along. Joan will be missed.
