John Mason was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Fred P and Polly Mason. He was the eldest of 5 children. He was raised in Idaho Falls, graduated from IFHS in 1961 and from University of Utah School of Architecture in 1969.

He was a master woodworker, craftsman and architect. His artistic and innovative designs produced many unique furniture pieces and custom homes.

He is survived by his wife, Ginny, sons Anthony and Ian, daughter-in-law Hillary, grandchildren Lukas, Abby, Lily and Jake and four siblings. A memorial will be held at a later date. See flintofts.com for the complete obituary.
