Joy Jordan, 84, died Wednesday, January 29th in Yakima, Washington. Her funeral service will be held Friday, February 7th at the Tolt Congregational Church in Carnation, WA.

Joy was born April 23rd, 1935 in Seattle, WA to Earl and Aurora Morgan. She moved to Carnation over 60 years ago with her husband, Tom Jordan. They created a life in the valley where they raised their 6 children together until he passed in 1973. She created a home where all were welcomed without question or judgement. She worked as a cook at Echo Glen Children’s Center until she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her pugs and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her older sister Dee; her children Tim, Tom, Carol, Debbie and Larry; her grandchildren James, Carmen, Heather, Tommy, Sarah, Tonya, Jack, Scott, Amanda, Amy and Tyler; and her great grandchildren, Jordan, Brooklyn, Anthony, Ashleigh, Alicia, Tori, T.J., Cora, Mila, Odin, Payton, Westley, Emma, Breanna, Teagan and Ryder.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Jordan and daughter Patty Taylor (Jordan).
