Joy Madora Barry

Joy Madora Barry, age-87 passed away on May 5, 2009.Joy was born on June 12, 1921 to Alice & Earl Davis, in Colona, Colorado. She graduated from North Bend High School in 1938; attended Washington State College. She married Dave Barry on June 26, 1942 and has lived in Snoqualmie Valley seventy-five years. Joy was active in the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Auxiliary and the Center exercise group. She was an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish and St. Martha’s Guild in Snoqualmie. She was a lifelong Cougar fan and she loved watching the Mariners.Joy is survived by her five sons and daughter-in-laws: Mike and Carolyn Barry, Pat and Debbie Barry, Chris and Susan Barry, John and Liz Barry, Mark and Evette Barry, 10 grandsons, 4 grand-daughters, and 5 great-grandkids, and life-long friends Mae McLean and Maxine Dovenberg, and sister Evelyn Nolte. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, in Snoqualmie, Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joy’s memory to the new “Our Lady of Sorrrows Church” funds.
