Joyce Elaine Rice went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 9, 2009.Joyce Elaine “Lee” was born on November 28, 1925 in Snoqualmie, WA to Samuel L. & Genevieve Lee. She married James A. Rice of North Bend, WA March 14, 1942 and enjoyed 51 years of marriage until his passing.Joyce lived in the Snoqualmie Valley the first 78 years of her life and she enjoyed camping with her family and golfing. Jim and Joyce were Charter Members at Snoqualmie Falls Golf Course in Fall City, WA. Joyce’s favorite camping spot was the family cabin at Lake Hancock next to what Joyce called her mountain, the beautiful “Mount Si”. Joyce loved music, swimming and a good latte and most of all she loved her family and friends. Joyce loved to travel and got to take her “trip of a life time” when she journeyed to Israel with friends and family! Joyce moved to Nampa, ID in 2004 where she spent the last 5 years of her life. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Samuel L. & Genevieve Lee, a brother Curtis L. Lee, her husband James A. Rice and two son-in-laws Robert E. Johnson & Lewis F. Bradley.Joyce is survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law William & Nancy Rice-WA , 3 nieces and 1 nephew , six children, Dan & Jackie Rice- AZ, Jim & Janet Rice- ID, Harold & Judy Huston- ID, Kristi Johnson-Bradley- WA, Bill & Sandi Wolfe- WA, Rick & Anita Rice- WA. Joyce is survived by 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.A Celebration of Life Service for will be held at Valley Christian Assembly in Fall City, WA, where she was a member for 20 years. The Service will be on Saturday July 25, 2009 at 2:00 PM. It will be officiated by her son-in-law Pastor Bill Wolfe.All who knew Joyce and are friends of the family are welcome to attend.
