October 30, 1959 – February 15, 2024
Lorelei Smith of North Bend, Wa., passed away at home, on 2-15-24 after a brief illness surrounded by her sisters, Lyla, Twyla, Lynelle and close friends Cindy Mallery Cabe and Patti Cabe. Lorelei was born 10-30-59 in Snoqualmie Wa to Lyle and Lola Smith. She graduated from Mt Si High School in 1977, went to Seattle Culinary School of Art, became a gourmet chef, then years later to Antioch Private College getting her Masters Degree and became a Mental Health Professional, working for Harborview respite program as the 1st drug and alcohol counselor for the homeless population. She worked there for 23 years. She was a valued employee who changed many lives there. Lorelei had a huge heart, infectious laugh and loved life. She loved to travel, go to baseball games, loved the ocean, had a passion for animals and all of her people.
She loved to go to dinners out, go to concerts and just be surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her mom Lola Smith of Wenatchee, sisters Lenora North Bend, Lyla of Renton Twyla Ocean Shores and Lynelle (Mike) of Ronald, brother Clinton (Buck) of Atlanta. 1 nephew 2 nieces, 1 great niece. Also, close family friends, Cindy Cabe Mallery of Snoqualmie and Patti Cabe of North Bend, all of their kids and grandkids, Lorelei loved their kids and grandkids as if they were her own. She has 2 beautiful Pixie Bob kitties, Beau and Jackson who have her loving infectious personality.
Celebration of Life will be on March 3rd at the North Fork Farm in Snoqualmie from 1:00 PM -4:00 PM.
We would like to acknowledge Matt Miller our friend and chiropractor who came to Lorelei for her adjustments at her home when she was too tired or too sick to go to his office in North Bend. She always loved his visits and positive energy he brought to all of us. Your generosity, compassion and friendship is priceless to us. Lorelei loved you so much.
