Our beloved Patrick James (PJ) Duvall, 55, died suddenly from complications of pneumonia on Sunday, March 17th around 10:25 am. PJ was born on December 7th, 1963 in Snoqualmie, WA and was a lifelong resident of the Snoqualmie Valley. He was a dear son, brother, teacher and friend to many.
He is survived by his parents: Benny & Kim Duvall, eight siblings (5 sisters and 3 brothers, along with their spouses): Debbie, Eddie and Teri, Duane and Lori, Tom and Janet, Kimberly and Thurmon, Tina and Vince, Kelli and Ginny, and Therese. He is also survived by many nieces and a nephew: Johanna, Danielle, Samantha, Tiffany, Tandi, Tiana, Jesse and Audrey; and Tessa and Hadley, his great-nieces.
PJ graduated from Central Washington University and went on to Lewis and Clark college to get his Master of Education. He was very active in the Snoqualmie Valley, serving the school district for more than 20 years. He attended Overlake Christian Church, went on a trip to China to minister and while there visited a school for the deaf. The last few years he attended Calvary Chapel Eastside and was involved in several bible studies. The cover of his bible states this verse: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). PJ had an amazing outlook on life, especially after battling and beating Leukemia in 2012. He always had a joke or story ready and laughter could be heard for miles. He instantly made people at home and at ease with his smile, wave and sense of humor. PJ will be missed by everyone who was blessed to know him!
His celebration of life service (open to ALL) will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 2pm at Calvary Chapel Eastside Church 5130 164th Ave SE Bellevue, WA 98006.
