Ruth Margaret (Hunter) Hurt Morgan

Ruth Margaret (Hunter) Hurt Morgan, 75, of Decatur, IL, went to her heavenly home and family at 4:26 P.M., Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Decatur Memorial Hospital with her four children by her side.Funeral services were held on Friday, July 18, 2008, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL.Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Titusville, FL at a later date.Ruth was a member of Peoples Church of God. She received her bachelors degree from Mansfield State College in Mansfield, PA and attended seminary at Anderson College in Anderson, IN. Ruth was a Charter Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. As an educator, she taught elementary and high school and also at Ivy Tech Community College in Anderson, IN.She is survived by her children Philip Dean (Nikki L.) Hurt of Phoenixville, PA, Leanne Ruth (Ivan R.) Brooks of Decatur, IL, Jonathan Dale Hurt of Austin, TX, Elizabeth Ellen Hurt (Graham A.) Vernau of Snoqualmie, WA; grandchildren Elliott Dean Hurt, Caitlin Elizabeth Hurt, Jason Roderick Brooks, Laura Megan Brooks.Ruth drew her strength in life from her faith and family.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com
