Scott Spalding, 44, passed away February 15, 2018 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Scott grew up in North Bend and graduated from Mount Si High School in 1991, where he played basketball, golf, and tennis. Scott attended the University of Washington, majoring in mathematics. He went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in accounting.
In 2010, Scott married Sally Knodel in Issaquah, Washington. They made their home in Sandpoint, where Scott owned his accounting business and together they own Salon Luxe.
Scott loved to spend time with his family most of all, but his second greatest love was sports. He gave many hours of coaching time to various youth athletic programs, and participated in basketball, golf, and soccer. Scott was a true Husky fan, much to the chagrin of his parents, who are both Cougs.
Scott is survived by his wife, Sally Spalding, of Sandpoint; children: Cooper, Camden, Brooks, Jaxon, and Carmen; parents: Geri (Elaine) Spalding of Duvall, Washington and Bev Spalding of Covington, Washington; brother: Bryan (Mary) Spalding of Duvall and their children Jordan and Easton. Also surviving are Sally’s parents Ron and Linda Knodel; sister: Sydel (Jeremy) McKim and their children Bailey, Hunter, and Samuel.
Scott’s family wishes to thank everyone for all the kind thoughts, flowers, and cards. Scott was the most wonderful husband, father, son, and friend that anyone could ask for, and he will be dearly missed.
