April 29, 1977 – February 25, 2019
It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce Ty Ryan Olson of Snoqualmie entered eternal life on Monday, February 25, 2019. He was only 41. His spirit is carried on by his parents, Lawrence and Pamela (Cross) Olson of Meadowbrook; his brother and sister-in-law, Brandon and Christine Olson of North Bend; his nephew Kurtis Olson of Fire Station #97 in Auburn; his beloved dog and best furry friend, Hank; 2 uncles, 1 aunt, 5 cousins; and an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life and of all ages.
Ty graduated from Mount Si High School in 1995 and studied Massage Therapy at Ashmead College. Ty, being the free spirit that he was, worked many types of jobs in his lifetime. He had a thirst for adventure and was always game for anything. He would introduce himself saying, “I like long walks on the beach while listening to metal music and drinking Sparks.” He was often seen with his headphones in, riding a bike or skateboard. He loved to play games, watch the Travel and Cooking Channels and movies like The Holy Grail and A Clockwork Orange. He loved floating the river, fishing, camping, taking road trips, and going to bonfires and parties. Most of all Ty loved his friends and family with all his heart, and time spent with them was his favorite pastime.
Perfectly unique in every way, that was Ty. To know him was to love him. He was a beautiful human being through and through, a one-of-a-kind, all-around stand-up guy. ‘Genuine’ is a word many used to describe him. His intentions and actions were always pure of heart with no hidden agenda. Ty had an awe-inspiring way about him that wherever he went he made friends with everyone there. His infectious laugh, his passion for life, his huge heart, his kindness and compassion, his sense of humor and infamous one-liners, his love for shenanigans, and the joy and smiles he gave us all are just some of the legacy he leaves behind.
Ty’s remains have been cremated and Flintoft’s Funeral Home & Crematory has been supporting the family with funeral arrangements. A more detailed obituary with photo slideshow can be found on their website at www.flintofts.com. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1 o’clock p.m. at the Snoqualmie Valley Alliance Church at 36017 SE Fish Hatchery Rd, Fall City, WA 98024. A reception will be held afterward at a location to be determined.
The Olson family requests that in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a worthy Charity in Ty’s name or do something selfless to pay it forward. Ty would like that.
