Correction

In the Dec. 16 edition, the Valley Record incorrectly stated that a total of five city of North Bend staff positions would end as a result of the city's 2000 budget. The correct number is three; two positions were vacated due to attrition and will not be filled, and one position was laid off as a result of the city's building moratorium.

The Valley Record regrets the error.
