When the endangered species act came into play, we realized we had
a problem. So as caretakers of the land, we have an obligation to do
something. But when you have big developments saying we should be
allowed to build without further studies, it does not figure.
And they also say, once we do build and it does become a
problem, we will deal with it then. It still
doesn’t figure.
People, this is not a King Dome we’re dealing with here (which we
are still paying for).
This is an endangered species we’re talking about, where big
developments are building or will build right above natural spawning grounds.
As a concerned citizen, I hope King County Council will take a
better look at this and not overlook it.
