On Sept. 17, the voters of Snoqualmie will be asked to approve a $3.6 million levy to build a new fire station. If anyone doubts the need for a new building, I suggest you stop by and view the existing station. This facility cannot hold the fire equipment, and the living and working quarters for our firefighting personnel are shameful.
I encourage all the voters of Snoqualmie to vote “yes.” A 40-percent turnout of voters from the last election is needed to validate this election.
If you want, as I do, an adequate facility for our firefighters, we must each vote “yes.”
