We, the citizens, have been told our city will dry up and blow away if
we don’t buy a sewer to revitalize the business district.
Is it out of the question that the proposed plan is the wrong plan
and that a better one is that the business owners buy their own septic
systems. (After all, it can be done [i.e. Towne Center], and they are the
beneficiaries.)
Demanding the citizens pay to subsidize current and potential
business and unwanted growth is unjust. We deserve a vote on this issue.
Why would we want to put one more drop of effluent into the river?
