Resource fair shares facts with Valley

Letter to the Editor.

On behalf of the 20 organizations who participated at the

first Snoqualmie Valley Adult Caregiver’s Resource Fair held recently at

the Mount Si Senior Center, I would like to thank the community members

who attended this successful event. The purpose of the resource fair was

to provide individuals and families with information about useful services

and resources in our local community. There were many

representatives available with a broad scope of

information including memory loss, housing options, Medicare, as well as

activities for adults.

Many of the representatives of the organizations meet on a monthly

basis so you will find that they work together for what is best for our

elder community members and their families. The resource fair was

organized to introduce this group’s services to our community. If you attended

the June 10 event, you would have found out about the many services and

options for our elder community members. You would have also met

some very nice people who care about our community.

If you missed the resource fair, we are preparing a brochure listing all

of the organizations’ names, phone numbers and other important

information about their services. The brochure

will be available in the fall, so please call the Mount Si Senior Center if

you would like one. More importantly, if you have concerns or want

information on the many services available for adults, please contact the Senior

Center at (425) 888-3434.
