After watching over 150 cars – as well as school buses loaded with
children – struggling up and down the snow on the hill entering
Wilderness Rim on Southeast 174th Street from Cedar Falls Road for over two
hours on Monday, Jan. 3 before the county sand truck arrived, I have one
question for King County: How long do residents have to put up with this
dangerous road and how many accidents and near misses have to take
place before the county opens up the connecting road from 422nd
Avenue Southeast to the Uplands?
I have been told several times by King County Roads that this
road WILL be opened by mid-November 1999. Why has this road not
been opened by now?
