Now that things have calmed down a little, both at MSHS and at home,
I would like to take the opportunity to recognize some very important
people connected with the Wildcat basketball program.
First, I would like to thank the fans that rocked both the Key and
Mercer arenas for four days. The students, parents and community members
never gave up on our boys. Friday was unbelievable, with close to 500
fans wearing scarlet and gray. You were the sixth man on the court and your
support gave those boys the extra shot in the arm that they needed after
having played 10 games in 22 days.
To the Valley Record, many thanks for your coverage of the Wildcat
basketball team and their road to state. The supplement put together by
your staff was incredible. It is a compilation of memories that will certainly
be a part of every player’s scrapbook.
To all the folks associated with the Snoqualmie Valley Youth Hub
basketball program, revel in this accomplishment! All of the hard work and
long hours have a payoff. This fifth-in-state team is a testament to the success
of the program.
