Three Forks isn’t just another park

Letter to the Editor.

Three Forks _ a wonderful place which I enjoy going to.

If King County gets its way, when you get there, there will be no

more deer prints or raccoon prints, instead 50 times as many human and

dog prints. No more putting your boots on and going to Three Forks. No

more walking through the water. Just put your shoes on and walk down a

paved trail. People will be enjoying just another park and not a natural area.

There is a big difference between the two. People, dogs and horses

will scare away all the wildlife.

The plans of “improving” Three Forks are just a waste of money.

Five million dollars just to destroy a wonderful place? There are much

better ways to spend $5 million.

Visit Three Forks yourself and I’m sure you’ll like it. Don’t let

King County turn Three Forks into just another park.
