The Mount Si High School junior varsity volleyball team opened their Kingco schedule on Monday, Sept. 15, with a loss at Liberty, 18-25, 21-25, 5-15.
Amanda Beekman had 12 assists and five digs to lead the Wildcats, while Amanda Gates picked up five aces on serve to pace the Mount Si efforts. Baylee Sinner added six kills and two aces to also aid the Wildcat cause.
The ‘Cats didn’t fare much better against Mercer Island last Wednesday, Sept. 17, falling 17-25, 13-25, 6-15. Sarah Robbins had six digs to lead Mount Si.
The Wildcats then went to Sammamish and made short work of the Totems, 25-12, 25-15, 15-8. Baylee Sinner had a huge night on serve, with 11 aces, to lead the way for Mount Si. Sinner also picked up six kills. Amanda Beekman had nine assists along with a pair of aces to pace the Wildcats. Amanda Gates, who saw varsity action as well last week for Mount Si, also had a big night on serve, with eight aces.
Mount Si hosted Interlake last Wednesday, Sept. 24, dominating that match as well. The ‘Cats took care of things, 25-12, 25-15, 15-8. Sinner once again had a solid effort, with six aces, six digs and five kills. Sarah Robbins and Taylor Danielson each had four aces on serve to pace the Mount Si cause. Stephanie Rehm added 12 assists to aid the efforts for the Wildcats.
