The Mount Si High School football team took a break from Kingco action last Friday, Oct. 3, and in doing so turned back the clock.

Their performance on the field against the Evergreen Wolverines from Burien shows that they are ready for the Kingco stretch drive.

Sean Snead ran for three touchdowns, and Tyson Riley threw for two more as the Wildcats beat Evergreen, a former league rival, 55-0. Mount Si played the Wolverines when the two schools were members of the Seamount League in the 1980s and ‘90s. Evergreen remains a member of that league; Mount Si left for Kingco 3A in 1997.

“We’ve had a really hellacious first four games,” said Wildcat coach Charlie Kinnune. “This is an opportunity for us to work on stuff that we needed to work on, diversify our offense and improve.

“We worked really hard on becoming better football players individually, and so we will continue to do that,” Kinnune said. Many players on the Mount Si sideline saw playing time during the contest.
