Puget Sound Gymnastics and Dance took part in the Paws and Claws meet, held Feb. 7 and 8, in Kirkland.

Competing in the 9-year-old category for Level 4, Samantha Holmes was first in the all-around with 35.5 points. Mikaelyn Davis also received first place honors in the Level 7, 7-to-11-year-old age group with 35.925.

In the 9-year-old age group was Erin Walker with an all-around of 34.15, earning her third place; Olivia Murphy in fifth place with 33.65, and Andromeda O’Keefe in sixth place with 33.5. In the 8-and-under category, Samantha Markley placed third with 33.15, Katie Engdahl was fourth with 32.8, and Lily Foster was eighth with an all-around score of 28.3. These scores earned the Level 4 athletes a second place team finish.

In the Level 5, 7 and 8-year-old category, Anna Stevedore earned fourth place with a 31.5 all-around score. Emi Yoshikawa placed fifth with a 30.9, and Makenzie Davis placed sixth with an all-around score of 30.5. Amanda Antoch placed seventh in the age 9-to-10 group with a score of 31.3. Maggie Kenow placed ninth in the 11-year-old age group with a score of 32.2, and Aubrey McMichael was in fourth place in the 13-and-older age group with an all-around of 32.95.

In Level 7 action, competing in the 12-year-old category, Kira Jerome placed seventh with an all-around score of 27.1. In the 13-year-old group, Elyssa Roeder was seventh with 32.625 all-around, and Carissa Castagno was 11th with an all-around score of 30.225.
