The Cascade FC’s U-14 boys team took to the field on a cold, bright Saturday, Nov. 20, at Mount Si High School to face Tyncastle appointments.
Their last match up was a 2-1 win for Cascade FC, and Tyncastle came out onto the field to avenge their loss. The Cascade FC boys played hard and organized early on in the game, but Tyncastle had a shot from the 30 yard line that floated in over Keeper Matt Cowan’s head, ending the first half at 0-1. Cascade came out fighting hard after the half and were rewarded when Bayley Maxcey was able to finish a goal to tie the game 1-1. The battle continued as Tyncastle put their top players on the field to fight for a win. It looked like Cascade FC was going to win the game, but with two minutes to go, Cascade scored a heartbreak “own goal” and Tyncastle walked away with a 2-1 victory. The Cascade FC Boys U-14 played with heart and Coach Dan Paczosa was proud of their efforts on the field.
