League championships for Crossfire Premier

Snoqualmie Middle School seventh grade student Kaitlin Kasel and her Crossfire Premier GU-13 soccer team amassed an impressive record during the past year, going 43-4-5 with 38 shutouts.

Snoqualmie Middle School seventh grade student Kaitlin Kasel and her Crossfire Premier GU-13 soccer team amassed an impressive record during the past year, going 43-4-5 with 38 shutouts.

Crossfire Premier scored 125 goals while allowing just 18. The girls won league championships in both their fall and spring league seasons. They went undefeated in their fall league and lost one game in the spring to clinch the championship. They won four tournaments this year, including wins in Las Vegas and Oregon, bringing their three-year total to eight tournament championships, four tournament finals and three semifinal appearances.

The team, comprised of girls from the Eastside and their coach, Lorie Stengrund, won the Washington State Challenge Cup Tournament in April, going undefeated in the tournament all the way to the championship game.

Kaitlin and her team received the Wild Card berth for regionals and will be They competed June 16-20 in Medford, Ore., against teams from the West Coast and Hawaii.
