The Mount Si boys basketball team cruised to a 68-44 Elite 8 victory over Graham-Kapowsin on March 3, and will move on to the state semifinals Friday.
The Wildcats took it from the get-go, starting the game on an 8-0 run and never relinquishing that lead. The Wildcats led by 14 points at halftime and 30 points after the third quarter.
Sophomore Blake Forrest and senior Quin Patterson lead the scoring, contributing 18 and 19 points respectively, while sophomore Bennett O’Connor added 13 points and 6 assists.
The win marks the third time in the last three seasons the Wildcats will appear in the state final four. A win Friday over 11-seed Olympia would also be the team’s third final appearance in the last three seasons. That game tips off at 7:15 p.m.
