Mount Si Girls Cross Country win KingCo Championship

Wildcats had four runners finish in the top ten on the way to a first-place finish

The Mount Si High School girls cross country team won the KingCo 4A League Championship on Oct. 20 at Marymoor Park.

The Wildcats had four runners finish in the top ten, scoring 45 points. They beat out Issaquah, which finished second with 68 points, and Skyline, which finished third with 80 points.

Junior Aleeya Cossey was the Wildcats’ top runner, finishing the 5k race in fourth in a time of 18 minutes 27 seconds. She was followed by teammates Addison Craig (6th), Ryan Mclellan (9th), Hailey Cossey, (10th), Brighton Dance (16th), Alexa Coughran (28th) and Ellie Kampschror (30th).
