Mount Si hosts Washington All State Cheer competition last week, places three girls on top team

Last Thursday, Nov. 10, 75 cheerleaders from around the state came to Mount Si High School to compete in the Washington All State Cheer Competition, sponsored by the Washington State Cheer Coaches Association.

Mount Si High School sent five of its own cheerleaders, Erin Wollerton, Avery Barrett, Halle Nicholson, Abby Mandella, Annie Bluher to the competition and three of them, Nicholson, Mandella and Bluher were among the 25 cheerleaders to be named to the All-State Team. Mandella was the overall runner-up.

To qualify for the competition, cheerleaders were nominated by their coaches based on their skill in crowdleading, jumps, tumbling and dance ability.
