The Mount Si High School girls’ tennis season closed out on a tough note last Tuesday, April 29, as they fell to Newport.
Snoqualmie’s adult men’s open and co-ed recreational softball team registration is underway. The season runs July 8 through August 31, ending with a double elimination playoff for the top four teams in each division. More details including game dates, times, locations, and team fees are available on the registration form, which is posted on the city of Snoqualmie Web site, www.ci.snoqualmie.wa.us below the “Local Activities” link. Registration ends June 13.
This year’s Mount Si High School baseball season, the first under coach Chaz Carr, ended last week in disappointment, as the Wildcats lost two out of three games to fall out of the postseason picture in Kingco 3A.

The final week of the regular season for the Mount Si High School girls’ softball team will likely go down as one of the more memorable weeks of this program’s history. It started out with a bit of history for a well-liked coach, then added a flair for the dramatic in more ways than one.
The Mount Si High School girls’ junior varsity tennis team wrapped up their season last week against a strong Newport team. Shelby Thomas played an outstanding singles match, winning 8-2. Michele Whims played her best match of the season, but lost a close match, 7-9. The team of Amanda Gates and Bailey Barnard took control of their doubles match, winning 6-2.
Mount Si beats MI, Valley rival Cedarcrest; now, on to postseason Wildcat track team dominates with win. The Mount Si High School track teams closed out their regular season last Thursday, May 1, at Mercer Island, as they took on Valley rival Cedarcrest along with the host Islanders.
The Mount Si High School boys’ soccer season ended on a down note last week, as they suffered two more losses to end what began as a promising season but turned into a very difficult one.
