Personal, school records breaking for Cedarcrest track

The Cedarcrest Track and Field team competed Thursday, April 28, in a four-way with Kings, South Whidbey and Granite Falls, at Kings. Both the boys and girls teams finished second behind Kings.

Chad Linnerooth nearly broke a school record, finishing the 800 meter race in 2:01, just .27 of a second shy.

Logan Orndorf lowered his own freshman school record in the mile.

Jessica Beam ran a top-ten performance in the mile, and Amelia Anderson made an almost-30-second personal record in the two-mile.

Two-miles Cody Wanichek, Colton Green, Evan Atwater and Jonathan Gunderson made personal bests.

Also peaking were Justin Houser, Hanna Gibson, Hanna Paradis and Melissa Collingwood, at javeline.

Matt Erickson and Austin Koons both had personal records in the 200 meter race.

Cedarcrest’s girls head to the Lake Washington Invite Saturday, April 30, while a group of boys compete at Shoreline.
