The Twin Falls Middle School Ravens cross country team wrapped up their debut season at the nine-way finals meet, held Tuesday, Oct. 21 at Lake Sammamish State Park.
On a beautiful day for the hundreds of runners on the three-kilometer course, the Ravens competed against Chief Kanim Middle School, Snoqualmie Middle School, Tolt, Pine Lake, Beaver Lake, Mercer Island, Issaquah, and Maywood.
Top Raven runners for the day were Jacob Pinkston, who took ninth place for sixth grade boys; Claire Hill, who took 15th place for sixth grade girls; Jeremy Knight, who took 10th place for seventh and eighth grade boys; and Bailey Scott, who took second place for the seventh and eighth grade girls.
The Ravens celebrated the end of the season with a party and special recognition awards on Thursday, Oct. 23. The most valuable runner awards went to Bailey Scott for the girls and Jeremy Knight for the boys. The most inspirational runner awards went to Terra Hauser for the girls and Emilo Moran-Salgado for the boys. Athletes given the awards for most improved times were Natalie Werner for the girls and Charles Dixon for the boys.
The Raven girls team included Terra Hauser, Bailey Scott, Adrienne Barnhart, Becca Crowley, Claire Hill, Hailey Johnson, Milla Lumley, Anna McCreadie, Erin Parson, Annie Rasmussen, Harley Salter, Olivia Swanson and Natalie Werner. The Twin Falls boys team included Thomas Dahl, Charles Dixon, Sean Hecker, Josh Helserman, Jeremy Knight, William Richards, Emmitt Rudd, Carl Terrett, Emilo Moran-Salgado, Zach McConnell, Jacob Pinkston, Josiah Shreve, Joseph Steenvoorde, Trevor Taylor, Dane Whetsel and Zach Williams.
