Three Snoqualmie Valley teens headed to cheer championships at Disney World

Three girls from the Valley have made it to the International Cheer Union World Cheerleading Championships, to be held at Disney World Resort (ESPN Wild World of Sports) at the end of April. All three compete on the Level 5 coed team at Connect Cheer in Bellevue. The team won the bid at a competition in Las Vegas in March.

The team won the bid at a competition in Las Vegas in March.

Mikaelyn Davis, an eighth grader at Twin Falls Middle School, Michelle Athay, a senior at Mount Si, and Kortney Bonner, a sophomore at Issaquah High School, will participate in the competition, which will be telecast live on ESPN on April 30 and May 1. The competition will host teams from 28 countries.
