Twin Falls Ravens fly in finals

Strong outing for middle school teams

The Twin Falls Middle School cross country team wrapped up their season at the nine-way finals, Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Lake Sammamish State Park.

On a beautiful autumn day, the Ravens competed on a three-kilometer course against Chief Kanim Middle School, Snoqualmie Middle School, Tolt, Issaquah, Beaver Lake, Pine Lake, Maywood, and Mercer Island.

Twin Falls had a strong outing, with several Ravens placing in the top 10 finishers. At the seventh and eighth grade level, Zach Tidwell took ninth for the boys, and Bailey Scott took second for the girls. Among the sixth grade runners, Reid Howland took fifth and Darren Breshears took ninth for the boys. Cecilia Dahl took sixth for the girls.

The Ravens celebrated their end-of season-party with special recognition awards on Oct. 22. Most Inspirational Runner awards went to eighth grade student Bailey Scott and sixth grade runner Reid Howland. Hardest Worker awards went to seventh graders Kaitlyn Lilleberg and Reid Howland. Most Improved Runner awards went to sixth graders Annie Bruckner, Nathan Blazevich, and Connor Jensen.

This past season’s Raven girls team included Samantha Bleha, Dayna Boord, Annie Bruckner, Ashley Buzard, Cecilia Dahl, Hannah Martin, Becca Crowley, Kaitlyn Lilleberg and Bailey Scott.

Boys runners were Darren Breshears, Collin Crose, Reid Howland, Connor Jensen, Josh Richardson, Christain Spencer, Austin Borgstrom, Josh Crowley, Thomas Dahl, Sean Hecker, Sam Luna, Andrew Oakley, Sean Pilon, Emmitt Rudd, Zach Tidwell, Chase Watne, Dane Whetsel and Zach Williams.
